This boardwalk is beautiful, well maintained, busy, but safe. Lots of runners, walkers, bikers, families. There are public restrooms along the way. Convenient restaurants right off the boardwalk too.Full review by 514LisaR

I dreamt of being on the boardwalk….rollerskating again. Emotionally safer times. The time before the beginning of the E.N.D. I would my body to the rhythm of the music, stay balanced, and skate safe…Full review by Tiffany B

While at Miami Beach there was a lot of seaweed floating in the water. Perhaps a 30ft from the edge of the beach out into the water. Brown in color. I watched as people waded through it out to more open water, unaffected by it. As the seaweed washed ashore and littered the beach, a bulldozer would come along in the morning and bury the seaweed. I am not sure if it’s an on going problem or just a cyclical event due to the changing of seasons. Most likely The later. Don’t let it stop you from going by any means. I would venture to think the seaweed issue is gone now!

I’m a marathon runner. Recently ran the Miami half marathon. I have run the Miami Beach boardwalk many many tines in past 5 years. I personally like to go out early and before the sun rises. For one it’s much cooler but above all lot less people. The boardwalk tends to get busy as the day goes by. So I go out at 6am about 5/6 days a week when I’m down there.

Your best bet would be the hotels on Collins Avenue. Most of them have a back access to the beach and the boardwalk for a nice morning stroll. Also if you want to stay in a shopping area, you need to be close to Lincoln Rd. and the open air strip. There are a few very nice hotels on Collins between 14th and 19th streets. You will have direct access to the beach and the shopping a few steps away. Enjoy it...
