There weren't any rental chairs when we were there in November. It wasn't very hot because of the breeze. Carry sunscreen and you'll be fine. I much prefer chairs but the beach was great and worth sitting in the sand. There are chairs for sale at the stores and most rentals have some. Enjoy.
I am heading to coco plum beach in about two weeks and have recently read the swings have been taken down, does anyone know if they rebuilt any swings or if another beach has similar swings?

Yes they are gone the cocoplum cottages have 1 swing and the sandals resort has 4.
