The Gorges of Galamus are a grandiose and surprising site with its particular relief. The waters of the Agly have hollowed out these limestone walls over 500 meters deep to reach the Mediterranean. I…Full review by BUTTERFLY_DISCOVER

Is this location accessible in February? Is it a snowy/dangerous drive? My husband and I are traveling to Spain and the South of France at that time and are looking at possible options for excursions!
A:
Hi, snow is rare in this part of France. However, it may be raining and cold and the road is narrow. But I believe, it is worth the trip. Take care and enjoy the trip.

We drove this in a rented Fiat Panda on Sunday and a camper van, style with a bed over the drivers head, came through and passed us (on coming) too. However, I could not vouch for whether they made out to the end. One vw golf came through and had a massive scratch on the side. 2 camper vans meeting head on could only pass each other in a couple of spots and not sure they'd make it, who would reverse???? Its not just the height, it's the narrow road plus small passing places of which there are few. I suggest approaching at the car park and cafe end, where you park to visit the Hermitage below, -then walk the road a bit and assess the traffic and ask in the cafe too. Make a decision and have a plan B taking you the long way around. Its all so scenic you could find a lovely route around.
