Tongariki Island is an inhabited island in Shefa Province of Vanuatu in the Pacific Ocean. The island is a part of Shepherd Islands archipelago. The name Tongariki is from Emae, reflecting the Proto-Polynesian words *toŋa "southward" and *riki "small".
