Hayes Township is a civil township of Clare County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 4,642 at the 2020 census. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 32.17 square miles, of which 31.28 square miles is land and 0.89 square miles is water.
