Aston Martin have been warned that the signing of Adrian Newey from Red Bull will not be enough to turn the team into winners in F1 2026.

The long-serving aerodynamicist opted to call time on his Red Bull career in early 2024 amid a period of internal turmoil in Milton Keynes. Newey accepted a big-money offer from Lawrence Stroll’s Aston Martin project with a start date of March 2025.

According to Peter Windsor, Adrian Newey's influence at Aston Martin could already start to pay off next year. After the master designer can began working this his new team in March, Windsor has high hopes for the Briton.
