To help those businesses who are struggling to reopen, Carolina Beach resident Amy Farrell started a GoFundMe. So far, she has raised over $1000, which she plans to share with the businesses around town. Farrell said any donation will help the town and its businesses recover.

Two days after the storm passed, some roads were still closed in the town, and town officials say the historic rainfall has produced millions of dollars in damages.
