The Cowboys’ season finally ended Sunday at AT&T Stadium against their long-time rivals the Washington Commanders. For the record, the Commanders defeated the Cowboys 23-19 as the season ended in dramatic fashion when Marcus Mariota connected on a 5-yard touchdown pass to receiver Terry McLaurin with three seconds left.

Despite starting longtime backup Cooper Rush in every game since quarterback Dak Prescott's season-ending injury (hamstring tear in Week 9 at the Falcons), the Dallas Cowboys are making a change.  Trey Lance,

Lance played on two FCS championship teams at North Dakota State and was named the 2020 FCS Championship Game MVP, but he started only 17 games in his three years with the Bison. He finished his college career with a perfect 17-0 record, 2,947 yards passing, 30 touchdowns, and one interception. On the ground, Lance added 1,325 yards and 18 scores.
