Colapinto is the second driver to crash during Q1 at Imola after Red Bull's Yuki Tsunoda was sent to the medical center for precautionary checks following a horrific crash which saw his RB21 flip. Gabriel Bortoleto, Liam Lawson, Nico Hulkenberg, Esteban Ocon, and Yuki Tsunoda were eliminated in Q1.

Red Bull's Yuki Tsunoda crashed heavily in the first phase of qualifying for the Emilia-Romagna Formula One Grand Prix on Saturday and was taken to the Imola circuit medical centre for checks.

Yuki Tsunoda has been taken to the Imola circuit’s medical centre after suffering a massive crash at the start of qualifying at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. The Japanese driver, at the start of his first flying lap in Q1, lost control of his car heading into the turn 5-6 chicane.
