Aaron Rodgers had exactly the type of performance the New York Jets envisioned when they acquired him last year. The star quarterback was calm, cool and dominant while leading the Jets to a 24-3 rout of the New England Patriots in a happy homecoming Thursday night. And Rodgers said he’s only now starting to feel like himself again.

These are not the Tom Brady and Bill Belichick Patriots — not even close — but you can’t take away what Jeff Ulbrich’s defense and Aaron Whitecotton’s defensive line did in this game. The Jets were a step (at least) quicker than the Patriots and had Jacoby Brissett bracing to be hit for most of the game.

Aaron Rodgers threw two touchdown passes and the New York Jets outgained the New England Patriots 400 to 139 in total yards to improve to 2-1. Now, the veteran quarterback said he sees potential domination for the Jets.
