The sun and looming threat of snow are gone, and Seattle skies have returned to the typical pattern of mild and damp weather.

Some showers hanging around Thursday morning, should be dry in the afternoon and calm for the rest of the night. Rain picks back up Friday afternoon.

Heavy rain will hit the Seattle area this weekend with melting snow in the mountains and a potential for rising rivers.
