Part of the reason this pilot probably earns as much as they do is because of their high hourly wage, around $360, which isn’t even the highest tier for pilots.

Pilots at Canadian airline Air Transat overwhelmingly approved a new five-year contract on Tuesday, according to the Air Line Pilots Association, which represents 725 members at the carrier.

Air Transat pilots who voted agreed to ratify a new five-year employment contract with the airline. The union and company reached the tentative deal in December, narrowly avoiding a strike.
