Dispatchers can validate the authenticity of someone with a badge who knocks on your door or tries to pull over your car.

At the state Capitol, the House passed legislation that now classifies 911 dispatchers as emergency responders. State Reps. Jessica Benham and Dan Miller introduced the bill, which passed unanimously.
