The Muttart Conservatory is planning to close for up to 18 months next year as it undergoes extensive renovations. The city has flagged the botanical garden as a priority for rehabilitation.

The café will close on July 2 when the city of Edmonton shutters the entire Muttart Conservatory to perform long-overdue renovations. The pyramids are due to re-open sometime in 2021.

The memories written on the Muttart graffiti wall will be posted on social media during the closure. Judy Poon, 59, has been a regular visitor at the Muttart Conservatory since it opened in 1976.
