The elite worlds of luxury and motorsport have just gotten closer, as Louis Vuitton announced a 10-year partnership with Formula 1.

Louis Vuitton will be title sponsor of Formula One's season-opening Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne in March, the sport announced on Thursday.

The brand will kick off the racing season as title sponsor of the opening race in Melbourne on March 16 - and 24 trophy trunks are in the works.
