Whiteland (3-8) played mostly in GCA’s lower third and picked up three early corners, though all of them were non-threatening to Cougars keeper Colton Flint.

GCA’s school board hired Mike Chitty to take over the superintendent role in 2019. His contract will expire at the end of the month, according to an email school leaders sent to parents Friday.

It was the first time GCA scored 60 or more points this season. The Cougars (5-8) will return to the Lancers’ gym to face Center Grove in a semifinal game on Friday evening.
