This year, several smaller brands such as Onyx Boox, Meebook, iReader and Hanvon have managed to increase the grayscale with dithering enhancements on a software level from 16 levels to 256 levels.

Anybody know of a program that can manipulate 16-bit Grayscale images? I know Photoshop and PSP can view them, but they can't do anything with them.
