“Fear Factor” has a long lineage. The series was originally hosted by Joe Rogan on NBC, then by Ludacris on MTV. Over the course of each episode, contestants vie for thousands of dollars by taking part in stunts that may involve physical challenges, gross-out demands and even extreme-action scenarios.

Fear Factorhas found a new home on Fox, and with it comes a new host who knows a little something about putting themselves in dangerous situations. Fear Factor originally aired on NBC for seven seasons and was hosted by Joe Rogan before being revived in the 2010s with Ludacris taking over hosting duties on MTV.

The original NBC reality competition series, hosted by Joe Rogan, ran from 2001-2012, while the MTV reboot, hosted by Ludacris, ran from 2017-2018.
