The local Diamond State Cat Fanciers held their inaugural Diamond State Cat Show at the Maumelle Community Center on Saturday.

The newly formed local Diamond State Cat Fanciers holds its inaugural Diamond State Cat Show, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Maumelle Community Center, 1100 Edgewood Drive, Maumelle.

Thanks to a partnership between the Maumelle Center on the Lake and CareLink, and a donation from Coca-Cola Consolidation, 300 senior citizens in the Central Arkansas area received free shoes.
