A familiar voice in the New England hockey world has been tapped as the Bruins’ Play-by-Play announcer for 98.5 The Sports Hub: Ryan Johnston, who calls the gig his “dream job.”

The Sports Hub announced on Friday that Johnston will replace Judd Sirott in the role after Sirott moved over to become the play-by-play voice at NESN. The Bruins open the regular season on Oct. 8 at Florida and preseason play begins Sept. 22.
