Ullman served on the Whitehall City Council for 24 years -- from 1967 and 1979 and again from 1991 to 2003. He was mayor for 10 years, from 1975 to 1979 and again from 1997 to 2003.

Former Whitehall Mayor Norm Ullman, longtime White Lake-area community activist, environmental advocate and former educator, died unexpectedly Thursday, Nov. 21, at the age of 71.
