Nintendo has released a new set of 3DS themes in North America and Europe eShop. These themes are a lot more simple looking than the gaming one's since they consists of polka dots, stars and stripes.

The Nintendo 3DS is getting several new Home menu themes this week. Themes based on Super Mario and Pokemon are launching this Friday (November 21), alongside a free Sonic Boom theme.

Nintendo has released a brand new 3DS system update. Announced earlier this year, the latest update lets users customise menu music, background images, icons, folders and sound effects.

Six basic coloured themes are available for free, or you can download more from the new Theme Shop. Simple designs cost 89p, or you can purchase themes featuring Nintendo characters for £1.79.
