ATLANTA — Officials with DeKalb County Schools have confirmed that a weapon was found on campus at Stone Mountain High School on Thursday. At this time, there is no word on where the weapon was found. Officials also specified that no one was threatened or harmed, and no additional illegal items have been found.

In an e-mail to parents, the school’s principal says the incident shows the importance of the district’s See Something, Say Something campaign.
