Connecticut Sun guard Tiffany Mitchell revealed she overcame life-threatening sepsis and abdominal abscesses during her nearly two-month absence from the team.

After sitting out since mid-July because of an undisclosed illness, Connecticut Sun guard Tiffany Mitchell shared she had been in the hospital and overcame sepsis. Mitchell explained the situation on the day of her 30th birthday in an Instagram post.

Connecticut Sun veteran Tiffany Mitchell said on a social media post that she's been out because she's suffered a life-threatening illness.

Tifffany Mitchell shared she suffered sepsis with six abdominal abscess, which has kept her out of play since July.
