Tornado watches are ongoing Tuesday across the Central US, including in parts of Oklahoma and Arkansas until 5 a.m. CT and in parts of Illinois and Missouri until 8 a.m. CT.

Some of the largest population centers at risk include Dallas-Fort Worth, Oklahoma City and Tulsa. U.S. weather map provided by NOAA/NWS shows areas under tornado watch in yellow.

Until 6 p.m. CST on Monday, 24 counties in Texas and 40 in Oklahoma will be under a tornado warning.
