Both vehicles caught fire, police said. The driver of the pickup and six people inside the Mercedes passenger van died. The truck driver was identified Friday as Isaih Moreno, 25, of Humble, Texas.

At 7:15 p.m. local time, a Dodge Ram pickup truck collided with a Mercedes passenger van near Henry's Lake, which is about 20 miles east of Yellowstone, police said in a news release.

Six of those killed were riding in a Mercedes passenger van, which was operating as a tour vehicle carrying 14 people. The driver of the Dodge Ram pickup, its sole occupant, was also killed.
