Led by Shay Holle's 15 points, No. 4 Texas rolled to a 95-58 win Wednesday over Lamar at Moody Center. The Longhorns have opened their season by beating two mid-major programs by a combined 109 points.

On Wednesday, Longhorns women’s basketball had a reason to celebrate as they added to their 2025 class. Texas announced the signing of Aaliyah Crump, who is ranked as the fifth-best player in her class by ESPN. The Minnesota native is coming off one of the best seasons of her high school career.

FAYETTEVILLE — Izzy Higginbottom scored a season-high 29 points and the Arkansas women’s basketball team used a 36-point second quarter to defeat Texas-Arlington 93-65 on Thursday night at Bud Walton Arena.

Led by Jaylin Foster with 14 points, eight rebounds and two steals last time out, Texas State lost 62-57 versus Texas A&M-CC. TCU enters this contest after a 107-52 win over New Orleans. The Horned Frogs' leading scorer was Madison Conner, who finished with 30 points, five assists and four steals.

On Wednesday at Moody Center, a Lamar team that went 24-7 last season should provide a tougher test for the Longhorns than in their season opener.
