A home on Nantucket’s coast that had been severely threatened by beach erosion has been torn down this week, according to the Nantucket Current.

The Sheep Pond Road home, situated on eroding waterfront property, had lost another 10 to 20 feet of coastline since it was purchased in June.

Buying a home on certain parts of Nantucket is a gamble. One businessman regrets it, calling it a "terrible investment."
