The graffiti appeared painted in white on the tarmac of one of the access roads to the 12,188ft Mount Teide, the highest point in Spain and a must-see tourist attraction in Tenerife.
It is perched at the base of the volcano’s highest crater, and it sits at an elevation of 6,500 feet above sea level. For comparison, the summit of famed climb l’Alpe d’Huez is at 6,100 feet.
