The WNBA landscape was shaken up Tuesday. First, the Phoenix Mercury traded for Connecticut Sun star Alyssa Thomas. Then, longtime Mercury star center Brittney Griner decided to leave Phoenix after 11 seasons to join the Atlanta Dream.

Griner is signing a free-agent contract with the Atlanta Dream when free agency opens Sunday, ESPN's Shams Charania and Alexa Phillipou first reported. The 34-year-old, who was the No. 1 overall pick by the Mercury in 2013, spent her entire 11-season career in Phoenix before testing free agency this year.

Brittney Griner has agreed to sign a contract with the Atlanta Dream after spending the entirety of her 11-year WNBA career with the Phoenix Mercury, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania and Alexa Philippou.

Amid news of her move, Griner took to Instagram to make her first post about her free agency decision. She shared a clip of herself riding a boat alongside her new teammates, Jordin Canada, Rhyne Howard and Allisha Gray.
