Green Day kicked off the massive FireAid benefit concert Thursday night, a two-venue concert extravaganza that is raising money for Los Angeles-area wildfire relief efforts.

Green Day and Billie Eilish performed together, Billy Crystal spoke of the pain of losing his home in the fires, and Joni Mitchell gave a rare performance.

After their set, Green Day frontman Billy Joe Armstrong hugged Billy Crystal, who was there to welcome the crowd.

A lineup of A-list artists is set to perform in the FireAid concert on Thursday, Jan. 30, benefiting the victims of the deadly Los Angeles wildfires . Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, Lady Gaga, Jelly Roll, and Stevie Wonder are some of the mega stars slated to take the stage.

Billie Eilish made an appearance during Green Day’s set at the FireAid concert on Jan. 30. The Grammy winner came out as the rock band was performing “Last Night on Earth” and sang a stunning rendition of the song with them.

Dozens of stars will take to the stage in the two-venue extravaganza, which aims to raise money for those affected by this month's fires.
