The Bruins will get two key pieces back on defense for Thursday’s game against Winnipeg. Charlie McAvoy and Brandon Carlo will both be back on the Bruins blue line leaving Hampus Lindholm as the only defenseman missing.

Charlie McAvoy practiced Wednesday as he continues to rehab from an undisclosed injury that landed him on injured reserve Jan. 14. The defenseman is hopeful to return Thursday against the Winnipeg Jets.

BOSTON - The Winnipeg Jets continue a three-game road trip tonight with stop number two against the Boston Bruins. After a victory in Montreal pushed them to 35-14-3 this season, the Jets will look to earn their second victory over Boston this season when the two teams square off at TD Garden on Thursday.

After the Jets set a historic pace of 15-1-0 to start the season they hit a bit of a speed bump with some folks fearing another swoon was set to derail them. They did hit a rough patch from November 14th to December 3rd which saw them go 3-7-0 in ten games.

The Winnipeg Jets have placed forward Morgan Barron on injured reserve. There is yet to be confirmation as to the exact nature of Barron’s injury or how long he will be out.
