Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum sent a letter to Google contesting the tech giant’s decision to comply with US President Donald Trump’s order to rename the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America.

Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-TX) called for "naming everything American" after President Donald Trump ordered the Gulf of Mexico to be renamed to the "Gulf of America." In an executive order this week, Trump gave the secretary of the Interior 30 days to "take all appropriate actions to rename as the 'Gulf of America' the U.

The early skirmishes over global landmarks are nothing compared to the fights over renaming public projects after President Donald Trump himself.
