Art Deco is enjoying a resurgence in decor, fashion and more. A new generation is appreciating the style’s unapologetically glamorous roots and translating it into something new.
Art Deco has therefore defied easy categorisation. The term itself was not widely adopted until after 1968, when it was used by Bevis Hillier, an art historian, based on the name of the exhibition.
