By its standards, the streamer's lineup of film originals in January is surprisingly slight. There are still a few Netflix-exclusive movies worth recommending this month, though, and the service is making up for its slim pickings of originals with a batch of exciting streaming acquisitions that is practically bursting at the seams with modern classics from the past 30 years.
