A new study on Rongorongo, an indecipherable script found on artifacts on Easter Island, finds it could have been independently created.
To investigate further, the study authors radiocarbon dated four more Rongorongo scripts that were removed from the island by missionaries in 1869 and are now housed in Rome, Italy.
