The titular golfer played by Adam Sandler in the Netflix sequel Happy Gilmore 2 has a new support system.

There was buzz Saturday morning that the famous actor was going to make a surprise visit to the 16th hole as a promotional stunt for Happy Gilmore 2.

Actor Christopher McDonald recreated his gold jacket scene from Happy Gilmore as fans rushed to the 16th hole at the WM Phoenix Open in Scottsdale on Saturday.

Also reprising his role from the first movie is Dennis Dugan, who directed the original Happy Gilmore and executive produces the sequel.
