A police officer has been killed in a suspected banditry attack at Charda along the Maralal-Baragoi-South Horr road.

One police officer was killed and eight remandees are missing after suspected bandits laid an ambush in the Charda area, along the Maralal -Baragoi -South Horr road.

The slain officer was shot dead during a gunfight before the bandits managed to facilitate the escape of all eight suspects.
