Work is expected to start in 2015 and will be completed in 2018. Almacantar is also working with Odeon to turn the cinema on the Marble Arch site into a purpose-built underground basement.

Almacantar bought the Marble Arch site in 2011 for a reported £80 million. It plans to replace the tower with two buildings, of 17 and seven storeys, clad in a mixture of glass and stone.
