Two Philadelphia men and a woman from Sharon Hill were arrested after police say they shoplifted and assaulted a police officer in Gloucester Township. Police say the trio were part of a group of serial shoplifters from Pennsylvania hitting retail stores in South Jersey.

On Sunday, Gloucester Township Police were investigating a crew of serial shoplifters believed to be from Pennsylvania. Officers conducted surveillance at the Gloucester Premium Outlets and observed the suspects shoplifting from two stores. As the suspects returned to their vehicle, an officer attempted to detain one female suspect.

GLOUCESTER TWP., New Jersey (WPVI) -- A suspected serial shoplifting crew out of Pennsylvania was arrested over the weekend in Camden County. The arrests were made Sunday at the Gloucester Premium Outlets.
