The main entrance of Swansea Central Police Station at Grove Place is still cordoned off, and the suspicious package is still next to the door. Police have confirmed that a suspicious item found at Swansea Central Police Station was "a piece of luggage".

A 37-year-old man has been arrested and the item was declared safe, South Wales Police said.

California Secretary of State Shirley N. Weber, Ph.D., said in a press release Thursday that a suspicious package was delivered to the California Secretary of State headquarters in Sacramento. Secretary Weber said the unopened package was abruptly given to authorities.
