The National Weather Service Tuesday assigned an EF-2 rating to the twister after studying scattered signs of damage in its path about 25 miles southwest of North Platte Monday night.

According to the NWS, this was the seventh tornado to touch down in Teller County. Despite the elevation, the NWS told 11 News it’s not unusual to see this type of impact in Southern Colorado.
