Microsoft has announced the Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Wave 2 lineup of titles. The announcement on Xbox Wire comes ahead of Microsoft’s Xbox Developer Direct on January 23, where fans will get to see a number of day one Game Pass games, including Doom: The Dark Ages, South of Midnight, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and a mystery fourth reveal.

The fifth title to reach Xbox Game Pass Ultimate in January 2025 is a day-one sequel to a critically acclaimed game from 2019.

Megagon Industries has announced a January 21, 2025, release date for Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders. The indie developer and publisher has also confirmed that the Steam and Xbox release will be available on Game Pass for console at launch.

Xbox has announced more games coming to Game Pass this month, including Lonely Mountain: Snow Riders, a new Sniper Elite game, Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap, and Citizen Sleeper 2.

Xbox has revealed a bunch more Xbox Game Pass Games for January some of which are new to the entire platform and others which are new to Xbox Game Pass Standard (the new lower tier). The big new titles are Sniper Elite: Resistance and Citizen Sleeper 2 which will both launch on Xbox Game Pass.

Microsoft has announced the next wave of titles coming to Xbox Game Pass in January and early February. After a lacklustre start to the year for Game Pass releases, it's fair to say that things are well and truly picking up as we head into February.
