The discovery of dead birds on the UMass Amherst campus and at a lake in Taunton further fuels concerns about bird flu.

Two Canada geese found on the campus of UMass Amherst have tested positive for bird flu. According to the University, the geese tested positive for Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI), (H5N1) which is the first known positive test on campus.

The Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife is investigating after a number of dead Canada geese were spotted near Lake Sabbatia in Taunton earlier this week.
