Mild weather on Christmas Day will bring very few chances of snow across the country. The best spots for a white Christmas with fresh snow will be across the Rocky Mountains. Rain is expected to continue in portions of the South, while the West will get a brief reprieve during the day before another atmospheric river streams inland.

Storm #1 is moving through northern Utah this morning. It has been producing valley rain and mountain snow showers throughout the morning. It's a fast-moving storm, so it will exit the state by afternoon. Then our weather will be quiet for the rest of today and for most of Christmas Eve.

As the year-end holiday season continues, storm systems are sweeping across the U.S., bringing severe weather that threatens to disrupt travel, particularly in the Pacific Northwest and along the East Coast.
