Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is filming in New Orleans this week for his rebooted "Kitchen Nightmares" show, according to Chelsea Shannon at NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune. Why it matters: His disastrous visit to Oceana in 2011 led to the restaurant suing the show twice.

In addition to the Verdict Lounge, the upcoming season of Fox's "Kitchen Nightmares," starring celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, will be filming at three other New Orleans restaurants.  The city of New Orleans has approved filming permits at Iberville Cuisine,

Vito Gigante Sr., a Hoboken police detective, bought the restaurant in 2021 with a cousin and business partner. His wife, Melissa Gigante, who also worked as a police officer in Hoboken for 26 years before retiring as a lieutenant, runs Da Mimmo with their son Antonio Gigante.

Ramsay also urged Antonio’s brothers, Vito and Vincent, who had previously been uninvolved in the restaurant, to use their social media presence — boasting nearly 3.5 million combined followers — to draw attention to Da Mimmo.
