Mikey Madison won Best Actress for 'Anora' at the 2025 Oscars, beating Cynthia Erivo, Karla Sofía Gascón, Demi Moore and Fernanda Torres. Madison shared how "cleaning up after her dogs" will help her process the surprising victory.

Director Sean Baker’s Anora — which won five Oscars, including best picture — centers on Ani (Madison), a young sex worker who impulsively marries the son of a powerful Russian businessman. During her acceptance speech, Madison said she appreciated the chance to honor the sex worker community.

Madison, who played a tenacious sex worker, called the win “a dream come true.” She beat Demi Moore, widely considered a favorite, for the award.
