The victim had just exited his apartment in Prospect Lefferts Gardens when the two suspects jumped him in the hallway in a tag-team attack, he told police.
Responding officers found the victim unconscious on the first floor of a building on Herkimer St. near Nostrand Ave., shot in the head and riddled with bullets, cops said.
The attack occurred around 7:36 p.m. near Rogers Avenue and Hawthorne Street. According to authorities, one suspect struck the victim in the face with a piece of wood while another punched and kicked him before both fled on foot in an unknown direction.
