Powering the 2025 Honda CBR250RR is a 249cc twin-cylinder motor that makes 41bhp at 13,000rpm and 25Nm which arrives at 11,000rpm.

Judging by its competitors, the KTM RC250, Yamaha YZF-R25 and the Kawasaki Ninja 250, the Honda CBR250RR’s newly developed 250cc parallel-twin should develop between 30 and 37 hp.

This CBR250RR — designated MC22 internally — from 1990 is a product of wild times in Japan. The economy was still booming, motorcycle racing was hot and the roadgoing sportbikes were even hotter.

The 2020 CBR250RR, on the other hand, is priced at 847,000 yen. This is close to Rs 5.7 lakh, making it way too expensive for the segment in the Indian market.
