Georgia football is playing rival Georgia Tech again on the Friday of Thanksgiving weekend in 2025. The Yellow Jackets designated home game in Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta will be played on Friday Nov. 28, according to the ACC schedule released Monday night.

Last season’s Friday night showdown between Georgia and Georgia Tech, a game that needed eight overtimes to settle, was so good that they’re running it back in 2025. In reality, the quality of that game probably has little to do with it but the game will be played on Friday again.

The hype for this in-state rivalry game did not disappoint last year -- ending with the Dawgs on top after eight -- yes eight -- overtimes.
